ABOUT THE SOCIETY

"Unlocking Potential, Fostering Growth: Joining Forces with 'The Society'"

Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Seva Samiti (Reg.) is a charitable society formed in the memory of Shri Swami (First Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Former Chairman Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council) in the year 2013.

Shri Swami Ji’s vision was based on the philosophy of Antyodaya, which means uplifting of the weakest section of the society and benefiting the last person in line. Shri Swami Ji’s vision is now the motto of our society. Following Shri Swami Ji’s vision, the society has organised several programs and taken up several initiatives: Clean Politics, Prestige Walk for Acid Attack Survivors (awareness campaign), Environmental Issues, Equality of Education, Conservative of Culture, Run for Yoga and Say No to Drugs. Today, our society works towards the upliftment of young students by empowering through education under the project “Shiksha Daan”. The society has also established “Clothes and Utility Bank” which provides clothes and utility items all around the year.

Our mission is to bring an equable relationship of sustenance, dignity and quality of education between the privileged and the lesser privileged. It has been almost 7 years since the formation of Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Sewa Samiti (Reg) and since then, we have been continuously trying to help as many needy hands as we can. Currently, 40 prestigious institutions and Administration are associated with us, who contribute to our organisation (including The Doon School , St. Josephs Academy , Uttranchal University among others|) JAI - Youth Wing of Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Sewa Samiti (Reg) was formed in 2018. JAI has a team of 16 dedicated and sincere young members, who manages all the initiatives of our main society. Our aim is to associate with as many individuals and institutions as we can, so that we can try bridging the gap between different sections of our society, by providing quality education, clothes and basic requirements.

Our Inspiration - Shri Nityanand Swami Ji


Nityanand Swami, born as Nityanand Sharma on December 27, 1927, in Narnaul, Haryana, was a respected Indian politician and the first Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Spending much of his life in Dehradun, where his father worked at the Forest Research Institute, Swami was actively involved in the freedom struggle from a young age. Known for his intellect and eloquence, he studied at Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College in Dehradun. A lawyer by profession, he began his political journey with the Bharatiya Jan Sangh and later joined the BJP. He was elected as an MLA in 1969 and held various important positions in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, earning respect for his unwavering dedication to public service and advocacy for laborers' rights-leading to 18 imprisonments during protests.

Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Seva Samiti (Reg.), established in 2013, along with its dynamic youth wing, JAI (formed in 2018), is committed to perpetuating the noble vision and philosophy of Shri Nityanand Swami Ji, the first Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. Our mission is deeply rooted in the principles of Antyodaya, focusing on uplifting the weakest sections of society and benefiting the last person in line.

Since the formation of Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Seva Samiti (Reg.), we have been tirelessly working to extend a helping hand to the needy. We are honoured to be associated with 53 prestigious institutions and administrations that actively contribute to our cause. Our efforts are particularly focused on engaging with the youth, imparting the values of social service, and laying a strong foundation of character and leadership attributes.

The youth wing, JAI, comprises dedicated and sincere young members who manage various initiatives with great zeal. Alongside volunteers from different institutions, JAI aims to bridge societal gaps by providing quality education, clothes, and basic necessities to those in need. Through these efforts, we foster a sense of community and mutual support.
