Project Srijan is led and creatively driven by Ms. Neetika Sharma, whose artistic sensibility and deep-rooted commitment to meaningful impact give the project its soul and strength. She also serves as the Director of Naval Srijan Private Limited, and her leadership brings together creativity, structure, and social consciousness in equal measure.
Many schools, particularly those in under-resourced areas, are surrounded by walls that are dull, worn out, and void of inspiration. These lifeless spaces often fail to stimulate curiosity or offer children the kind of atmosphere that supports joyful learning. The emotional and academic well-being of a child is deeply influenced by the physical space they learn in—and it is this truth that Project Srijan brings to life with colour, care, and imagination.
With hand-painted educational artwork and vibrant visuals, the project transforms educational environments into lively, welcoming spaces. The walls come alive with multiplication tables, maps of India and its states, number charts, alphabets, and playful illustrations that make learning both engaging and emotionally supportive.
But Project Srijan is not merely about beautification—it’s about creating a learning ecosystem that feels alive. It encourages creativity, strengthens memory through visual exposure, nurtures motor skills, and most importantly, makes children feel excited to come to school. The transformation is not just visual—it’s psychological, emotional, and deeply human.
So far, the project has already touched the lives of hundreds of students:
Dehradun Volunteers painted the classrooms with bright, educational content designed to uplift the mood of young learners while reinforcing essential academic subjects. The project was inaugurated by Shri Sunil Gama, Mayor of Dehradun.
Dehradun In this transformation, students were welcomed into colourful, creatively enriched classrooms that invited learning through joy. The project was inaugurated by Smt. Gurmeet Kaur, First Lady of Uttarakhand, and Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Former Education Minister of India.
In its third creative leap, Project Srijan collaborated with the Uttarakhand School of Computing Sciences (USCS), a branch of Uttarakhand Technical University, to create “Blinky”—a decorative robot made entirely from upcycled e-waste. This innovative installation not only showcased the fusion of art and technology, but also sparked important conversations around sustainability, digital creativity, and environmental responsibility within educational spaces.
Every brushstroke under Project Srijan is a step toward shaping not just walls, floors, or steps—but mindsets. Through art and education, it creates spaces where children feel seen, safe, and inspired to grow.
